Stop Offshoring

For a change, Congress is doing something to help Americans fight offshoring. According to the Computerworld article titled "Congress eyes R&D spending to counter offshoring of jobs", Congress reached a deal to fund the creation of ARPA-E, the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Energy. Senator Lamar Alexander said the bill was a "direct response to the challenge to our country to keep our brainpower advantage at a time when other rapidly growing countries like India and China are increasing their technological initiatives." Let's hope it works.
