Just when it was looking like the offshoring tide was turning in Americans' favor, IBM announced that it would cut jobs in the U.S. while expanding in India. Thanks for taking a big step backwards, IBM. You may be Big Blue, but you're obviously not red, white, and blue.

President Obama has been following through on his campaign promises to limit the movement of American jobs overseas. In recent speeches, Obama has talked of taking away tax benefits for companies that participate in offshore outsourcing. He has also stressed the importance of creating jobs in the United States. It's refreshing to hear a President realize how much offshoring hurts this country and want to do something about it.
