Stop Offshoring

There was an article in last Friday's San Francisco Chronicle titled, "China, India seen as tough rivals for U.S." It warned that business leaders fear Chinese and Indian companies may soon surpass American companies in technological innovation. Part of the shift in competitive power comes from offshoring. "American managers have also given foreign competitors a boost by outsourcing important business functions -- from accounting to microchip deign -- to workers in low-cost countries," the article says.

This is exactly the type of problem that I warned about when our country's business leaders began their short-sighted mission to offshore American jobs in order to save a few bucks (which I do not believe they did anyway due to poor performance of foreign workers).
