Stop Offshoring

Add lawyers to the list of professions threatened by offshoring. The NY Times describes the growing practice of replacing American lawyers with their counterparts in India. In some cases, the lawyers working in India are Americans who moved there (because a lawyer in India apparently makes as much as a lawyer in a midsized firm outside of major metropolitan areas in the U.S). As another sign of offshoring weakening the U.S., I don't like the trend. However, I think that this country already has too many lawyers. But I don't envy the law school grad with a six-figure school debt discovering that there are no jobs in this country because jobs are moving to India.
