Stop Offshoring

Andy Grove, the former head of Intel, has shifted his opinion on offshoring and is now on my side. Grove fears that the U.S. will lose its technology lead in the future because so many high tech jobs have moved abroad. Even "commodity" functions such as manufacturing should be kept in the U.S., Grove says, because we're losing expertise in large scale manufacturing. One of Grove's solutions to combat offshoring is to make it financially favorable for companies to hire American workers instead of offshore workers, a proposal that I've often backed in the past. I hope that with someone as illustrious as Andy Grove speaking out, more people will start listening.
