Stop Offshoring

My current employer, which has been a great company to work for so far, announced that they're thinking of offshoring some engineering functions. Of course, I told management about all of my bad experiences with offshoring, and there were members of the management team who also concurred. Interestingly, someone made a comment that nowadays, venture capitalists expect all of their companies to have an offshore team. Great, so it's not just management that's stupid about offshoring, it's VCs too. I've had a low opinion of VCs for a long time, and this just adds to the tarnish.
